Books, Beach, & Baby
This is the cover of my next book, the life story of a man with A.L.S. His health has declined rapidly in the last few months, so I think the book will mean a lot to his wife and two teenage daughters. I designed the cover in Photoshop, and I'm happy with how it turned out. Hopefully it looks the same once it's printed! I'll find out in a couple of days.
On to other news...Our friend Tommy has been staying with us for a couple days, and last night we went out to Half Moon Bay (only about 15 minutes away) and found a great seaside restaurant to eat at. We ate outside, where there was live music, a fireplace, and a gorgeous view of the ocean at dusk. I absolutely loved it! The only bad news is that I forgot my camera, so I can't share it with you, but I'm determined to go back soon to capture it on camera.
Baby 2008 is kicking like CRAZY! It freaks Ryan out sometimes. I can't believe I only have seven weeks to go. Baby also gets the hiccups a ton, usually twice a day, which the doctor said is a sign of baby wellness. :)

I'm so happy you have such a healthy, kicking baby! I wish I could feel it.
ReplyDeleteThe book cover looks great! Good job!
You have a writing talent and you know how to bless the lives of others. What a great combination! And your little baby is exercising before birth! Good for him ! ... or her??
ReplyDeleteThe book cover looks GREAT! Good job, Ek!
ReplyDeleteIIIII want to feel the baby kicking too!
You are so talented, Erica. Madeline had hiccups a ton, and she still gets them :) I can't believe you're almost there. Crazy! Have you splurged on any baby stuff?
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, I'm jealous. Only a short time to go. Baby Crabtree is also kicking but I'm the only one that can feel it right now. Are you two waiting for a surprise on delivery or do you know if it's a boy or a girl? I also love cooking/recipe web sites and will totally check out your fav's. Looks like you guys are doing great, hopefully see you at the next reunion.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the West, Gregg just helped me with a password so we can make comments. We missed you yesterday at the big family dinner in Lethbridge. We look forward to being great grandparents of the Nielsen baby.
ReplyDeleteThe book cover looks amazing. I am sure the Hackney's will love it.
