This was our second year watching Santa arrive by helicopter! Such a great family tradition! The scheduled day was smack in the middle of a week of heavy rain, but it barely even sprinkled during the hour we were on the runway!
The boys were not interested in sitting on Santa's lap after he landed, but they were all over test riding the helicopter!
On another note, I'm sure it's the pregnancy talking, but I am about to crack! My nerves are frazzled and my patience thin. I seem to crave quiet and space this pregnancy, but I cannot even sit in a chair without the boys climbing all over it...or me...while yelling! And Ryan is as busy at work as ever. But these boys deserve a more loving mother! I will just be happy if I make it to Christmas—and hopefully until this baby comes in March! So please pray for me!
This is so cool! I am sorry it is hard - hopefully you can make it through the busy holidays by simplifying and taking it easy. A change like this always is hard - which is probably why I am so afraid to take the leap to three kids. I am rooting for you!
ReplyDeleteAlison - I almost think I will like having three kids better than I like having two and being pregnant! Here's to hoping! Thanks for the sweet thoughts!
DeleteI hear ya. E decided to stop taking naps this week to boot. You're a great mom--you can do it!
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing, Liz! Seriously, I do not know how you do it! Chase gave up his naps, too, a couple months ago. Torture! But also kind of nice to have an early bedtime! Good luck to us all!
DeleteSo sorry you've not feeling as well as you'd like....wish I could be more help. Do what you can to fill your own bucket. Go to bed early! Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel!!! I felt that way when pregnant with my last one. By the time Cam came I was done, forever! The time seemed to go by so slow. I felt like I was yelling at them constantly, even for things I normally wouldn'tbe mad at them for. I would then break down crying. Ahhhh, the emotions of being pregnant! Too bad we are still not there. You could bring them over and let go wild with mine :)
ReplyDeleteMy boys would LOVE seeing Santa arrive by helicopter, especially my 4 year old. He has an infatuation with both. Good luck with everything!! I know some days are better than others. Those are the days to just let go and know it will get better :)
What sweet little faces, so excited in the helicopter. Props to you for even having the energy to venture out to that air strip! Hang in there. Love you! Wish I could come give you a day of peace & quiet.
ReplyDeleteThanks, mar! I'm doing much better this week. Just letting go of expectations and trying to relax a little more until Christmas. Miss you! We got your cute Christmas card - thanks!
