The kids were driving me so crazy today that I cried—just a little. Turns out that was the best thing I did all day. Trenton hugged me, kissed me on the lips, said sorry, and actually started behaving better—all of this unprompted! I should cry more! But then of course it would probably lose it's effectiveness...
Oh, E-Money. Even Supermom has tear ducts. So glad Big T pulled through! xo
ReplyDeleteLol - hmmm, maybe I need to try that on one of Sophee's naughty days. Being a mom is so rough sometimes! (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteIt really does work! I tell you those days sometimes end up the best ones. I think it just shocks them into changing their behavior. They forget we are human too and that things make us sad. It's great to show them that we are infact real people and that we have feelings too :)
ReplyDeleteThat has worked for me too! Not that it happens very often. Sometimes I put my head down or go lock myself in the bathroom. Kade is old enough to understand I am not very happy. If you ever need to drop your boys off for a breather let me know! You can bring them over here :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids do the same thing! It does make me feel a little better- like usually they aren't being naughty because they want to make me miserable... sweet post!
