Another thing I love about this place is that my vacuum chord can reach the whole house from one outlet. Also, I don't have a ton of counter space in the kitchen, but that just means I have to clean up messes as I go, instead of spreading to another counter.
At 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, right now, this place suits our needs perfectly. Sure, I have a few things I'd change... (Ask me about how I get stuck—literally—between the toilet and bathtub every time I bathe the boy.) But for the most part, I am content.
And to make it just that much better, we just bought a real bedroom set, which makes us REAL adults! Our "bedside tubs" were just not cutting it anymore with a toddler on the loose. He used to tear our bedroom apart! But after selling several furniture items (thanks Julia & Gregg!) and finding a steal on a bedroom set I love, we have a neat, clean, relatively baby-proofed bedroom to enjoy.
*The furniture may look black in the pictures, but it's actually "espresso," really dark brown.
*BTW, I sanded, primed, and painted that hope chest on our patio this week. Surprisingly, I LOVED the project! My parents gave me the chest to me when I was 16, a family tradition, and I love it.
Love the bedroom set! Yay for feeling grown up! I miss you Erica!
ReplyDeleteI love that bedroom set! The color is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks great! I love it! We've decided to wait to buy nice furniture until we're settled a bit more...maybe someday! I really like the espresso color, though.
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom set is beautiful! I love it. And yeah for babyproofing! I love decoration shopping so if you want company while shopping for decorations next month let me know :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Erica! We're in the process of baby proofing too. Quite a task, isn't it? : )
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I am so jealous! I have been searching for a bedroom set for a long time, but haven't gotten one yet. They are so darn expensive! I love that one. And that's the color I have been looking at too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! I bet it feels so nice to have some real furniture that all goes well together. It's so much fun to make a home your own. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteLooks GREAT! Good job changing your chest. It made all the difference in the world when I re-covered mine with fabric that matches my bedspread.
ReplyDeleteThat bedroom set is beautiful! And I love the hope chest, too. One day I will have a bed frame, with other furniture that matches it too. (sigh)
ReplyDeleteLove love love it! It looks so awesome. You do have a really great place and you've decorated it so nicely that I hardly notice the 1970s retro pieces anymore!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Nathan and I also have that dark espresso color. I love it because you can pair so many different styles with it. Isn't it funny what things make us feel grown up.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a cute mom! I just love your blog.
