Look at that BIG BLUE SKY!
It's that time of year again! I haven't blogged a lot lately largely because I'm trying to avoid complaining about Ryan's busy season (that somehow actually lasts three-quarters of the year). Oh well, a little complaining won't hurt! In fact, it just might help a bit! We do our best, but his work hours definitely strain us. I can handle not seeing him during the week, but I begin to think evil things about his firm when they intrude on our weekends. Now that he's been there longer, it seems that work is always hovering; his work laptop is out at home all too often. And if he's not working, he's pretty darn tired from the previous week. I could go on (and on), but I think I'm already feeling a little better! :)
We did get a little window of freedom on Saturday—Ryan's birthday—and used it to further explore this beautiful area. I LOVE it here! We visited Rodeo Beach (on the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge), which is where my upcoming half-marathon starts and ends. It was chilly, but the sky was incredibly blue and the views from the surrounding hills are unbeatable.

It looks gorgeous there and I'm glad you guys get to enjoy it. How warm is it there these days?
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine how hard it would be to have my husband gone all the time - and I get upset when he works past 7! You have every right to complain.
Beautiful! I'm glad you all got to spend at least one day together.
ReplyDeleteIm ready to come up and help as soon as you want! You know i love seeing those two boys, so let me know if it gets too stressful, id love to come!
ReplyDeleteI wish we were there to help out. Tell Ryan Eric said Happy Birthday! I hate it when husbands have to work a lot. Your pictures make me miss the Bay area even more. There are so many things we didn't even get to see and do. I hope things get better.
ReplyDeleteThat blue is so vibrant that it hurts my eyes! You really do live in a beautiful place. Good job staying strong. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day! I feel you pain with an overworked and overly tired hubby. However, it sure makes the time you have together just that much better.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I wish we had some views like that around here- I need a vacation. Hope busy time lets up for you soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view! I'm glad you got to go there on that day to enjoy Ryan's birthday weekend. Hopefully the busy season at his firm will be calming down at some point soon.
