Today Trenton and I drove into Palo Alto to meet Ryan for lunch. (Okay, I admit, we did it yesterday too! We have to take advantage of more relaxed weeks when we can.) We went to a little Mexican place on California Ave. Trenton watched us intently as we dipped chips into three kinds of salsa, and he soon decided his plain graham crackers weren't cutting it. The next thing we knew, the kid had commandeered the bowl of green salsa and spent entire rest of the hour dipping graham cracker after graham cracker into salsa.

The good news: (1) he seems to like Mexican as much as we do, (2) he didn't try to escape out of his high chair for the rest of the meal!!!

Sorry, my camera is MIA.

  2. Olivia spent her entire dinner dipping scrambled eggs into a cup of water... Trenton's graham cracker in salsa probably tasted just as scary, don't you love how they don't care??
p.s. nothing is better than a baby who will actually sit in their high chair during a restaurant meal, NOTHING!

  3. That's so cute! When my mom was growing up, she got us to try all sorts of things by saying, "Well I like it, but you probably won't." And then we really wanted to try it. We usually liked it. It sounds like you guys did a little kid version of that today. Go salsa!

  4. Ben loves dipping things too! His new favorite it guacamole. He loves to dip his cheese quesadilla in it.

  5. Cute! Connor's the same way- he'd eat salsa with a spoon if we let him!
